Anyone who is exposed to dust at work must be protected, because dust can be harmful to health. There is a general dust limit value (OEL-value - occupational exposure limit) for inhalable and alveolar dust. On 14 February 2014 the limit of alveolar dust at the workplace was lowered to 1.25 mg/m³. Until now, a transitional regulation was still in force, but from 1st January 2019 the new OEL-value must be complied with.
